Afrique au Féminin is a women's centre and non-profit organization (NPO), founded in 1986 and incorporated in 1988 by a group of professional women of African origin concerned about the difficulties of social and economic integration of women in their communities in the host society.

Afrique au Féminin has outgrown its space! As the only women's center in Parc-Extension, we have seen a huge increase in demand for our services and need a new home to serve our community better. It's time for our next chapter, but we can't do it without your help! Help make our dream a reality by contributing to our public fundraising campaign to transform our new home into one that meets our, and your needs.

French Classes

In collaboration with the Ministry of Immigration and Diversity and Inclusion, classes are offered to women who do not speak French. Part- time course with possibility of childcare for children from 0 to 5 years old.

Psychological support

The centre offers psychological support to women to break the isolation and also to appease them in case of distress in order to empower them to find their mark in the host society

Savoir Plus

Food bank

This service provides free food for women and their families in need. It is offered once a week on Tuesdays from 1pm to 4pm. Prior registration required.

Our Mission

Our mission is to support immigrant women in improving their living conditions and facilitate their integration into Quebec.It is a question of helping them to come out of isolation and equip them to favor their autonomy for a better individual and collective care. Afrique au Féminin is the only women’s wentre in Parc-Extension, a district located in the Centre-North borough, where there is a high concentration of people from ethnocultural communities and almost 50% of whom are women facing various barriers of integration. Afrique au Féminin is a centre for women who want to build relationships, live in harmony with themselves, share their difficulties and share their experiences and solutions. We welcome all women and we respond to their needs (listening, support, support and reference).
